I disappear tomorrow for a week in Portugal. Apparently, the weather is to be sunny for the entire holiday with temperatures averaging around 27 degrees. This is roughly 20 degrees higher than anything the Scottish climate has offered this Summer. Each evening at, say, 6.30, I will be obliged to have a couple of cold beers to avoid any dangerous over-heating.
Be well. Talk soon.

How about we all have a party at his house while he's away?
-
Oh, "we" already are...
-
I'll burgle your house in the meantime.

There's some chocolate biscuits in the fridge - help yourself.

Now in Albufeira. Not seen Roger yet. At one point I thought a man dancing on a table in a Dundee Rangers shirt was Roger, but he seemed too sober.

Back home and my holiday couldn't have been better. My wife and I were joined by our daughter and son, along with their partners. The temperature remained at 31 degrees all week and the laughter flowed at a similar rate to the beer, wine and sangria. We swam several times daily and sampled the local seafood nightly. AND I didn't bump into Mince! (Only joking. Our holidays only overlapped by a day and it was almost impossible to organise a link-up).
Hope you have a great time, Mincey.
Okay, now back to the realities of rain, gas bills and Dundee United....
-
So you support United as well as Rangers?

I missed this, saw the getting back part the same as the "I'm going" part - never felt like I even had a vicarious holiday.
