A Beau Peep computer game is being worked on at the moment. I can't say too much as there is still a long way to go. The company involved has told me that it will be a "point and click" game, which sounds faintly pornographic to me, but I'm assured that this is a legitimate format. I guess it will be available some time next year but any previews will, of course, make their first appearance on this site. I can reveal no more. Please destroy your computer after reading this.

I bet I can write one before they finish theirs.

OK. You're on. £5 says we'll all be old and grey before you finish the programme!

As opposed to before he starts?
I apologise, in advance.

Will it be available for the Wii Roger?
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

No idea, Diane. For all I know, it might be available on Betamax.

I think I stood next to him when he was having one once...

I stood next to him while he was having an idea for a computer game. What's disturbing about that?

The thought that Roger was contemplating anything to do with computer games.....!

I found myself with an abundance of free time this weekend, so I thought I'd practice making my own point-and-click game. Here is the result. Pretty please download it and try it, even if you're traditionally game-phobic. I'd consider it a personal favour.

I call it "Roger Kettle's Great Escape".

It's based on this topic, as well as other recent forum activities.

Quote
"Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a celebrated, award-winning writer?

Well, now you can find out, in "Roger Kettle's Great Escape!"

Take on the role of the famous Mr. Roger Kettle, as he attempts to find freedom and escape the confines of his own office! With an all-star guest cast (that's you lot, by the way), do you have what it takes to earn Roger his freedom?"

It's only a 5.8MB download, which you should be able to get here: cameldung.co.uk/games/Escape-Setup.exe

If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to find somewhere else to host it.

I know it works on Windows Vista, but if anybody can provide feedback for other systems that would be much appreciated.

Finally, can I once again beg the luddites among you to give it a go? Thanks.

I clicked onto the llink, Jack, but don't understand what you have to do after that. I am always doubtful of things that say 'sign up' and 'cheap rates' .... I think perhaps the 'cheap rate' is going to cost me dear!

Perhaps I'll wait until a few others have had a go before I try again!
