Watch it, Baker!
Andrew sent me a copy of the strips he emailed to the Star and everything was in place---including the missing balloon. I really don't understand how this happened.

Sounds like an enigma worthy of scrutiny by the cream of Fleet Street's investigative journalists. Shall I send someone from The Sun over?
I apologise, in advance.

Is it unique and therefore going to be worth thousands in years to come!

OK, who's going to be first to make a connection about Roger's gags and valuable antiques ?     ;D

Arthur Negus?

If I remember rightly, someone had a Beau Peep gag valued on the Antiques Roadshow, and was told it was early sixteenth century and possibly one of a pair. The expert continued by saying that Roger was pushing back the boundaries of wit and reaching new, unexplored areas of comedy - in other words, he was getting beyond a joke.

Someone bought a joke book at the service station on the way home from the airport, didn't they?!
I apologise, in advance.

Didn't Arthur Negus have the Beau Peep joke?

Steve, I have no idea how this happened and it makes no sense to me. I'm assured by Andrew that the final balloon was in place and, like you, I can't understand why the blue background is complete----there should have been some kind of sign of the missing punchline.
It's weird, man.

It would be weird if the kazoo showed up in someone else's cartoon. Probably the one directly beneath Beau Peep if it falls out of the Nomad's vest.
People will come from strange lands to hear me speak my words of wisdom. They will ask me the secret of life and I will tell them. Then maybe I'll finish off with a song. The Nomad

You have the mind of a cartoonist, Diane. You may not take that as a compliment, but it is untended as one.
I apologise, in advance.
